Description

Responsibilities:

  • Loading and digitizing all necessary materials for projects
  • Assembling projects to facilitate larger edits
  • Tracking edits through completion
  • Editing revisions to rough cuts as needed
  • Assembling smaller, non-billable edits and working with clients as needed
  • Logging and digitizing masters into the broadcast and tag library
  • Assembling reels and making dubs as required
  • Billing costs associated with dubs upon their completion
  • Searching and identifying music for editors
  • Archiving projects to Data Disc upon their completion
  • Laying off master tapes to finish sessions
  • Coding and entering final master elements into our library or shipping to storage
  • Cataloging and entering final masters into the broadcast library
  • Searching for stock footage for projects as needed
  • Organizing the dub-room facility
  • Checking all dubs to identify and resolve errors
  • Shooting video as needed for in-house editing projects

  • Demonstrated relationship management skills – ability to form and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with people at various levels and in various disciplines of business
  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates creativity, a keen eye for detail, and solid editing skills
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of post-production multimedia tools including Final Cut Pro, Avid, DVD Studio, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, etc
  • Working technical knowledge of post-production hardware in both PC and Mac platforms – ability to provide general maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Working technical knowledge of production tools (cameras, microphones, lighting, etc.) – ability to provide general maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Strong knowledge of the film, music, and/or advertising production industries
  • 2-4 years work experience in a post-production role
  • Bachelor’s degree in production or post-production or equivalent work experience
