Lead Architect

As the Lead Architect on our team you will be responsible for translating creative and visionary concepts into effective technical architectures. You will work alongside internal and external teams to identify technical solutions to our client’s toughest marketing challenges. You will lead your team in platform & language selection, systems design and technical implementations. You will mentor others in programming design patterns and you will evangelize process and standardization across the team.

As a member of the Technology department, you will be part of a larger digital team. We're a group digital makers across design, development, infrastructure and quality assurance. We create award-winning digital experiences and products for the agency's biggest clients such as Verizon, Denny's and John Deere.

Responsibilities:

  • Convert visionary concepts into enterprise-wide systems.
  • Convert business requirements and user epics into technical solutions designs.
  • Assist and support other developers in architecting solutions.
  • Create technical documentation to describe functionality and architecture of systems.
  •  Ensure compliance of best practices and policies in development.
  • Give status reports to management on the current status of frameworks.
  • Help coordinate task assignment and product road maps by utilizing the abilities of individuals.

 Experience:

  • 8-10 years of hands-on programming experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in technical solutions design.
  • Experience developing & presenting technical solutions architecture strategy.
  • Experience with architecture design, systems life cycle management, and infrastructure planning.
  • Experience overseeing the development of multiple concurrent technology projects
  • Expertise with continuous delivery tools and DevOps practices.
  • Fundamental understanding of programming design patterns and best practices 
  • Expertise in integrating emerging technologies & platforms into business solutions.
  • Expertise in documenting architecture deliverables.
  • Expertise in API design, deployment and integrations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of web application security.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.

Qualities:

  • Must possess strong communication and presentation skills for both internal and client-facing presentations. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and integrate unfamiliar technology platforms.
  • Evangelizes adherence to best-practice programming design principles.

Bonus:

  • Interest in hardware such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi or similar
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth protocol
  • General interest in electrical engineering
