The role of account management at EP+Co is to create, manage and expand the conditions for great work and ideas to flourish. We strive to create work that moves people, changes the status quo, and drives our clients’ business and our own. This individual is responsible for overseeing a large-scale national brand account.  As an integral part of the leadership team, you will work closely with the Executive Creative Director, VP, Strategy & Insights, and the Managing Director in setting the direction of the clients business and supporting agency growth.

Our account directors are seen as trusted advisors and know the client’s business deeply.  They connect the dots and marshal resources and talent to deliver all aspects of modern marketing. They recognize, contribute to, protect, and most importantly bring to life great creative work and ideas. They lead and mentor their team’s growth and drive teams internally to make things happen so we win for our clients and EP+Co.


Strategic Account Oversight:

  • Sets the overall tone and strategic direction for the account.
  • Leads the development and implementation of integrated solutions that leverage agency offerings and are mutually beneficial for the client and the agency.
  • Leads the development of the client/agency contract, scope of work, and overall communications program.
  • Directs the development and presentation of incremental project proposals and staffing plans (for projects beyond the contracted scope of work).
  • Successfully identifies and mines opportunities to integrate other agency services into the overall client scope of work.  Aims for several business-building and revenue-generating ideas each year.
  • Informs agency leadership of key account developments, opportunities, and challenges, and seeks guidance and involvement from agency leadership when needed.


Fiscal Oversight:

  • Provides strategic financial oversight for the account.
  • Is directly responsible and accountable for overall account profitability and growth and for achieving planned goals/targets.


Competitive/Category Insight:

  • Has (or can quickly develop) a detailed understanding of client’s business and market segment along the dimensions of: financials, organization; product development; pricing; customer segments; infrastructure; distribution, sales channels, etc.
  • Has (or can quickly develop) an advanced understanding of competitors’ businesses, advertising, use of media, etc., and uses this knowledge to articulate competitive implications and subsequent recommendations for the client.
  • Has an advanced understanding of advertising and media industry trends/developments, and uses this knowledge to present business building strategies for the client and agency.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years overall work experience, ideally in a combination of agency, client marketing, and/or consulting roles.
  • Significant management and leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
