Freelance Social Media Manager

Content and Social Greenville, South Carolina


EP+Co is seeking an experienced freelance Social Media Manager with knowledge of social media marketing execution and project ownership of content creation. This need is immediate and will work onsite in our Greenville, SC office. Length of temporary assignment is 4-6 weeks to start with potential for full time. In this role, you'll work as part of a cross-functional team to develop, manage, and execute social brand communications for a national client account.

 Key Responsibilities:  

  • Partner with creative, strategy, and account to develop and optimize social media strategy and content for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize social listening tools to generate insights and summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports
  • Perform daily QA checks of platforms to escalate any issues to brand and troubleshoot with vendors/platform contacts for resolution
  • Create and maintain content calendars and publish on schedule as agreed upon with client. Make optimizations to content calendar based on community engagement
  • Regularly monitor and assess user activity across brand pages and respond or escalate as needed, partnering with brand marketing and customer service teams. Foster a positive community and add value to users.
  • Work with integrated agency and client teams to create, maintain and update moderation guidelines and house rules. Enforce Community Guidelines as defined on platform.


Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of professional marketing experience, ideally managing social communities.
  • Strong understanding of social media communities and marketing approaches, and strong working knowledge of social media platforms
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills; ability to prioritize daily activities and multi-task
  • Excellent writing skills and understanding of effective and compelling communication for social networks
