The Supervisor, Contracts Management is a key member of the legal team responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of the contract management cycle. The Supervisor, Contracts Management is both a hands-on role lending support and ensuring processes and activities of all phases of the contract lifecycle for all customer and vendor contracts; as well as a managerial role supervising more junior contracts specialists and a Legal Operations Administrator. This role will supervise the position of Legal Operations Administrator and provide guidance to junior legal staff with regard to maintaining Company standards and tracking assignments. The position will work with attorneys and other Legal staff to provide services cross-functionally to Sales, Security, Procurement, Product, Finance, Customer Support, Client Services to take in, organize, and finalize contracts within the parameters of Company policies. Responsibilities will also include developing new procedures and negotiation guidance for both Legal and cross functionally, as well as leading departmental, and supporting company-wide initiatives and special projects.   
   
Job Responsibilities     
  • Primary review and negotiation of MSAs, Quotes and SOWs between eMoney and client and vendors in accordance with Company’s policies and procedures  
  • Maintain Company’s contract management system, draft amendments to existing client agreements, update agreement templates, and coordinate with internal and external legal resources and stakeholders  
  • Manage the timely processing of all contracts and amendments from initial request through execution  
  • Collaborate with the Attorneys & Procurement department members to ensure smooth management of contract system  
  • Supervise the Legal Operations Administrator as well as provide guidance to other junior members of Legal team with regards to contract standards, tracking and administration  
  • Provide reporting of Legal KPI’s and contract tracking  
  • Provide support for RFI and RFP processes when required  
  • Review, draft, and administer contracts on behalf of Legal Department in accordance with organizational and departmental contracting policies and procedures, including drafting templates, providing redlined recommendations  
  • Develop and implement departmental contracting policies and procedures, including drafting templates  
  • Perform risk assessment of proposed contractual terms and conditions, and develop recommendations to minimize their potential risk to the business  
  • Assist in the design and implementation of a mature and robust contract lifecycle management database and process with potential support to other areas of company (e.g. Sales, Finance, etc.)  
  • Supervise Legal Operations Administrator activities relating to the signing, filing, tracking and managing completed agreements and maintain contract files, tracking metrics and CLM software.  
  • Prepare and communicate appropriate summaries or other reports relating to material contract terms and conditions to applicable internal stakeholders  
  • Design and implement policies and procedures to affect the timely and accurate completion of customer and vendor contracts  
   
Requirements     
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent  
  • 5+ years contract management experience with contract review, negotiating and drafting  
  • Management of direct reports or leadership in a group, team or interdisciplinary project experience is a plus  
   
Skills     
  • Good, working knowledge of all customary office software programs including Salesforce and at least one CRM software  
  • Possesses sound judgment and excellent communication skills which allows the jobholder to interact with other stakeholders in the company  
  • Ability to build working relationships and trust amongst multiple departments and stakeholders  
  • Independently perform a variety of sensitive tasks, requiring initiative and reliability as key skillsets  
  • Understand and organize different types of information and records  
  • Understanding of contracting in support of SaaS based technology solutions, and in the financial services industry, a plus  
  • Ability to manage a direct report, be a project leader as well as the first line of response for inquiries to the Legal Department  
   
  
The salary range for this position is $82,000 - $108,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
