Description

Eiffage Canada specializes in civil engineering works, including concrete structure rehabilitation, and new bridge construction. Additional projects including hydroelectric facilities, pedestrian bridges and specialized formwork within infrastructure.


Position Overview:

Immediate Opening - This is a field based position in Prince Rupert, BC.

You will be reporting to the General Manager in Nisku, AB.

The Project Manager – Infrastructure reports directly to the General Manager and will have an in-depth knowledge of civil construction; in particular, Sructures and Dams.

The projects may vary geographically depending on the company's work on hand. You will be flexible and willing to travel, based on the needs of the company.

 Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests and maintain good relationships with clients
  • Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
  • Assist, review, and negotiate contracts as appropriate, in conjunction with General Manager
  • Develop, recommend, and implement the project plan after being awarded the project
  • Coach, mentor, provide direction, and review the performance of personnel reporting directly to the Project Manager
  • Monitor and control progress, costs and budgets throughout the project
  • Review each project’s progress with the project staff as the project proceeds
  • Act to resolve disputes between the company and owner, or company and subcontractors when possible prior to escalating
  • Identify required and optional changes in project scope; negotiate change orders with the owner

 You will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Civil or Structural engineering degree or equivalent training and experience
  • 5+ years' experience in the civil construction industry
  • Experience in self-perform concrete, bridges, dams and rail
  • Experience working for a General Contractor 
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, materials, negotiation, engineering, estimating, scheduling and safety)
