Position Overview                               

As member of the operations team, the IT Systems Coordinator will assume a critical role in creating a technology infrastructure that scales with the company’s expanding organizational needs. The IT Systems Coordinator will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all technology- and database-related operations of the company. The IT Systems Coordinator will also inform the creation and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ideal candidates will be process-oriented and have superior technical, communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.


Essential Functions

  • Lead the design and implementation of IT systems and projects and allocation of resources for all company locations (e.g., HQ, retail, online)
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to effectively communicate process improvement objectives
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, fax machines, VoIP phones, scanners, etc. across multiple locations
  • Maintain and secure passwords, file system security, and data integrity for desktop environments
  • Work closely with all external IT vendors
  • Oversee troubleshooting, system backups, data archiving, and disaster recovery
  • Make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and work with various vendors for procurement
  • Manage entire purchase of inventory related to hardware, software, and other IT supplies
  • Maintain and track technology inventory, certificates, licensing, and support contracts
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT systems including servers, PCs, Macs, operating systems, hardware, and software
  • Interact with employees on all levels to quickly resolve IT-related issues
  • Work Safety – Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Food Safety/Quality – Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Ability to explain in laymen’s terms the use of computer related technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or Business preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in desktop support or server support
  • 2+ years of directly related work experience in management of information systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network, PC, and Mac operating systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
  • Strong team player with the ability to diffuse tense situations
  • Passion for organization and structured project management
  • Capacity to operate independently and towards a goal
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
  • Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills


Backup Coverage – In the absence of the IT Systems Coordinator, the Director of Corporate Development shall be responsible to make provision to cover the absence with a qualified employee
