Position Overview                               

As a key member of the Sales team, the Regional Business Manager, will assume a strategic role in the profitable sales growth of the company. The Regional Business Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and tracking sales-related activities of the company within an assigned geography and accounts. This encompasses direct responsibility for the entire sales continuum including lead generation, relationship building, formulating and tracking sales metrics (e.g., ROI), and informing sales forecasts. Ideal candidates will have exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and quantitative skills.


Essential Functions

  • Monitor and import the progress of current and prospective sales activities
  • Prepare and deliver on sales forecasts and budgets including, but not limited to, planned volume, planned distribution, and spending targets
  • Leverage customer and consumer insights to provide feedback to management on product concepts, pricing, and promotional activities
  • Build relationships with and profitably expand sales to existing accounts
  • Manage relationships with brokers that work in conjunction with customer accounts
  • Execute all agreed to solutions with customers to include accurate, timely forecasting and detailed follow through
  • Generate new sales leads and develop for each new account strategic plans
  • Deliver planned volume, planned distribution, and spending targets
  • Negotiate mutually agreeable terms with retail outlets and distributors
  • Create and leverage presentation and promotional materials as appropriate to facilitate product sales
  • Attend exhibitions and company meetings as required
  • Work Safety – Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Food Safety/Quality – Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Functional competencies include: selling, negotiating, financial management, leveraging insights, listening, time management
  • 5+ years of CPG sales experience
  • Degree from a 4-year institution; business focus preferred
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 70 percent of the time


Backup Coverage – In the absence of the Regional Business Manager, the Associate Director of Sales shall be responsible to make provision to cover the absence with a qualified employee
