Overview
Edifecs is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Sr. Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with architects and product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software components. You’ll take ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practices - using software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all the team deliverables.
- Work with the Engineering team to help solve business problems
- Write high quality distributed system software
- Work closely with architects and product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed and implemented software components.
- Take ownership of the implementation of individual software components, with high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practices
- Participate in software design reviews, you conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all the team deliverables.
What you will bring:
- Bachelors in Computer Science or other technology related program or equivalent experience in implementing, and operating Java stack based enterprise applications
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Java (and frameworks like spring, spring boot, JPA and hibernate) and JavaScript.. Experience in creating highly performant processing piplines using Apache SPARK
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems and cloud services fundamentals
- Strong understanding of databases and highly proficient in SQL.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $108,699 - $149,461 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
