Software Engineer

 

Overview

The Software Engineer is an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for design, implementation, testing and maintaining of innovative software products. The successful candidate must be able to quickly learn the existing systems and components, actively participate in expanding the current systems with new functionality, as well as develop new components using big data and other emerging technologies. We are looking for people who have strong knowledge of Java frameworks, extensive experience in SQL, including troubleshooting and optimizations, strong knowledge of data processing and ETL


 

What you will do:
 

  • Participate in defining product level architecture and be responsible for designing component level architecture
  • Take ownership of features and components, including code and design review
  • Perform hands-on development and maintenance of software components
  • Develop, analyze and optimize ETL processing, troubleshoot performance issues
  • Maintain and support current systems and subsequent enhancements

 

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelores in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on coding experience in Java; preferably through several complete development cycles from specifications to software delivery
  • Experience with distributed Java frameworks for batch and streaming ETL processing
  • Extensive experience working with relational databases and SQL, specifically SQL Server
  • Knowledge of UI frameworks and fron-end development is a plus
  • Able to learn quickly and effectively apply new knowledge, demonstrating the desire to stay in touch with emerging technologies
  • Must be able to work well in a diverse team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Experience with Agile Development & Continuous Integration

 

Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $108,699 - $149,461 per year.
