Project Engineer - Mid to Senior Level
Description
- Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, submittals, and project documentation
- Review, interpret, and update drawings, specifications, and as-built documents
- Perform field inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety, and quality requirements
- Track scope, schedule, budget, quantities, and production rates for assigned tasks
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and ECC personnel
- Assist with RFP development, subcontract scope packages, proposal evaluations, and procurement activities
- Inspect delivered materials and equipment and verify compliance with contract requirements
- Support A/E design services, on-site investigations, and redline updates
- Maintain daily logs, field reports, meeting minutes, quality and safety documentation
- Support Government Property administration
- Apply federal regulations, DoD criteria, USACE QC requirements, FAR, OSHA, and applicable codes and standards
- Perform additional project controls, estimating, safety, quality, or technical duties as assigned
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
- Minimum of 4 years of construction or design experience, preferably on federal projects
- Working knowledge of DoD, USACE, OSHA, FAR, and federal construction standards
- Ability to analyze technical data, solve moderately complex problems, and apply engineering principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project software
- Ability and willingness to work on-site at project location, travel as required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural), Architecture, or closely related field from an accredited institution
- PE or successful completion of the EIT exam desired, but not required
