Project Controls Manager

Description

ECC is seeking a Project Controls Manager in our Lakewood Colorado office. This position is responsible for managing a strategically oriented project management office, with the objective of prioritizing and optimizing the overall performance of cost-schedule monitoring and control. Project control engineers do not do design work, but instead represent ECC in the field, help clarify / interpret a project’s designs, and assist in ensuring the job is constructed according to the project plans, budget and schedule. In this position you will:

  • Daily operations of field work activities and organization of subcontractors;
  • Coordination of the implementation of a project,
  • Ensuring project is being built correctly;
  • Updating of project schedules and estimate at completion forecasts – inclusive of engineering, procurement, construction and close-out status;
  • Clarification / interpretation of drawings – inclusive of tracking of RFI process / logs;
  • Review of engineering deliverables –inclusive of tracking of submittal process / logs;
  • Redlining drawings;
  • Development of regular project status reports – inclusive of periodic project progress and issue photo files;
  • Budget monitoring and change management tracking – inclusive of maintaining change estimate files and change order documentation;
  • Bill of materials creation and maintenance;
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of cost engineering principles including: estimating, planning and scheduling, Earned Value Management required.
  • Hands-on experience with resource loading and earned value functions of Primavera P3 and/or P6 Professional required.
  • Experience with CPM scheduling required.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in Project Controls.
  • Hands-On Experience with Oracle Primavera P3 and/or P6.
  • Education - BS / BA in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture is desired, advanced degree a plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
