Earthjustice’s Marketing team leads Earthjustice’s advertising and paid media strategies to raise awareness of Earthjustice, grow our number of action-takers, and increase our supporter base.
 
The Marketing team is seeking a summer 2026 intern. We are seeking undergraduate students who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment. The intern will develop their interest in digital marketing and analytics within a mission-driven organization while gaining exposure to a range of marketing activities, from strategic planning to paid media execution and performance analysis. The summer 2026 Marketing intern is expected to work full-time at 37.5 hours/week for 10-12 weeks. The successful candidate may work a hybrid schedule from our Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA office.   

What You’ll Do
 
Under the supervision of the Paid Media Manager:   
  • Conduct weekly performance deep dives using the marketing analytics dashboard (Tableau) to identify trends and compile questions.
  • Build on existing landing page conversion analysis using Google Analytics (GA4) to help identify opportunities to improve performance and user experience.
  • Support the analysis and synthesis of marketing experiments, including creative and messaging variations, to improve how learnings are captured and applied.
  • Conduct ad-hoc research projects, such as peer analysis or evaluation of emerging paid media platforms and synthesize findings.
  • Shadow and support a range of marketing activities while working hands-on with real campaign data.

What You’ll Bring  
  • Enrolled in a college/university program as a junior or senior during fall 2026. Programs that focus on Communication or Marketing or a related field are preferred.  
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Analytics preferred; comfort navigating and learning new database and analytics tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Earthjustice’s values of Justice, Excellence, Inclusion, and Partnership. 
Physical Requirements:
 
This role may require the ability to: 
  • Sit for extended periods with occasional standing and walking
  • Type, file, and/or handle office equipment
  • Lift and carry materials
  • Read documents, conduct computer work and document review 
Compensation:
 
Interns at Earthjustice receive an hourly rate that is considered taxable income. The summer 2026 hourly rate for undergraduate students is $19.18.
