Electronic Engineer Manager
In this role, the Manager will lead the electronic engineering development team in the development of world class product solutions including ensuring APQP processes are achieved on-time and under budget. The Manager will be primarily responsible for working directly with the customers in the AP region as well as in cooperation with the Competency Managers for Systems, Electrical and Software Engineering. The Manager will also be responsible for department budgets, spending, employee development, and customer support duties. The ideal candidate must have a “go-getter” mentality, isn’t afraid to ask questions to solve problems, has the ability and personality to lead and motivate engineering teams, is a team player with the flexibility to adapt to the dynamic auto industry, has taken a product through the full development lifecycle several times, and can stay sharp under pressure

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for leading the development of Electrical work products of a global electrical engineering team.
- Responsible for leading the development of Systems work products of a global systems engineering team.
- Responsible for developing APQP compliant work products for both electrical and systems deliverables.
- Supporting continuous improvement of all engineering competencies
- Responsible for developing the skills, capabilities and work quality of both electrical and systems engineers
- Responsible for selecting, hiring and disciplinary action of engineering organization with span of control
- Internal interfaces include, but are not limited to: program management, product development, process engineering, testing/validation, systems engineering, business development and sales, advanced project purchasing, advanced quality and advanced engineering.
- Responsible to ensure project milestones are being achieved with the highest quality
- Responsible to ensure first pass DV and PV are achieved
- Responsible to identify and assess risks that could impact project timing, cost or quality
- Responsible to support new business acquisition, quoting and customer reviews
- Responsible to ensure all product lines are supported with the needed skills and number of resources for success
- Responsible to define and drive growth strategies and continuous improvement concepts across global teams within the Electrical and Systems space.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Automotive Electronics development experience (Required)
- Functional Safety experience (ISO 26262) (Required)
- Working knowledge of DOORS (DOORs Next Gen)
- Working knowledge of Automotive communication systems such as CAN, LIN, SENT (Required)
- 15+ years working in Design of automotive mechatronics systems (Required)
- 10+ years of related experience working in design and development of electronics products as an electrical, systems or software engineer within the automotive industry (Required)
- 10+ years of related leadership experience having successfully launched several mechatronics products into series production
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, or Software) (required)
