PLC Programmer
Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing automation projects to improve productivity, quality and consistency.
- Assist with design, planning and execution of automation / robotics in the plant.
- Consistent improvements on assembly equipment by making programming changes in the PLC or other systems to reduce cycle time and increase reliability
- Work with schematics and diagrams for electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
- Developing and changing of automation processes through programming the PLC
- Implementing additional vision systems and scanners, setting up communication to the main PLC and integrating it into the code
- Provide higher level of support for maintenance technicians during break down situations through troubleshooting methods
- Developing and executing training for development of other team members
