We are currently seeking an Editor to join our Operations team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.  

 

Performance Objectives 

Enverus is looking for a proven, experienced editor for our data-driven oil and gas intelligence reports. The editor will be primarily responsible for review of all editorial content for these publications and for ensuring their content adheres to the corporate brand style guide and communicates the intended message effectively while including necessary disclosures and sources.

Besides editing, the role may also involve writing short content covering the energy sector, incorporating directions from other editors; leveraging proprietary tools and outside sources to create value-added graphics, tables, and other content; and providing promotional email materials related to the publication.

Minimum 2 years of experience with editorial work. Blogs or social media content not relevant.

 

  • Provide high-level attention to detail when reviewing publications for editorial review.
  • Ensure use of corporate brand style guidelines are met and disclosure/source information is included.
  • Edit and occasionally write content on timely industry news and company operations as well as longer data analysis and thought-leadership pieces for accuracy, brevity, and engagement.

  

Competitive Candidate Profile 

  • Minimum 2 years of writing/editing experience with newspaper, online news service or trade publication, or similar corporate experience with business coverage.
  • Sound proofreading skills and a thorough eye for detail.
  • Ability to write and edit content in different editorial styles, from corporate reports to news and features to marketing copy.
  • Proactive team member.
  • Decisive problem solving in the face of tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communications, or English.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to create and manipulate pivot tables in Excel a plus.
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of AP Style preferred.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry a plus.
