About Your Role:

As a Front-End Developer, you will be working on either our Content Management System (CMS) Team, Advertising Development (Ad Dev) Team or Globe Core team. We are open to reviewing candidate profiles for Full Time, Contract, and Project based work to meet the needs of our engineering teams.

About Our Teams:

Ad Dev Team
We are looking for a Front-End Developer with solid knowledge of both client- and server-side JavaScript, and an eye for beautiful design. You will work in a collaborative Agile environment to deliver bespoke web destinations and custom ad content for our high-profile brands and convert existing pages to better integrate with our CMS systems. You should also have experience developing in NodeJS, ideally using Express or other http-server frameworks. Candidates should also have experience in Client Side Frameworks like Vue, Angualr, or React. Having experience with HTML5/Canvas- based web animations experience is ideal, but not required.
 
CMS Team
You should have a demonstrated track record of technical proficiency within distributed teams of developers. You will work in a collaborative agile environment, and as a Frontend Developer you will be writing structured and maintainable JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You will be contributing well-architected solutions to web applications that aim to take full advantage of our existing frameworks and libraries while incorporating new technologies and best practices. We are looking for someone with a passion for the web and its fast-moving ecosystem, that would also like to expand their skills. In addition, candidates should have experience with Angular or another major JavaScript framework or library (Vue, React) and related build processes (Webpack, Grunt, Gulp) along with proficiencies with Node.js and Express or a similar server-side framework.

Globe Core Team
We are looking for a Front-End Developer with a demonstrated track record of innovative thinking, technical excellence, and peer collaboration. You will work on the team responsible for improving and expanding the component-based framework upon which all our verticals are based. As such, you will influence technical direction for multiple teams, and serve as the subject-matter expert for shared functionality. You should have high levels of skill with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a component-based front-end framework, particularly one with a server-side templating aspect (e.g., Apache Tiles, Vue+Nuxt, React+Next). Candidates without this should have significant experience with at least one server-side templating language (e.g., JSP, FTL, Handlebars, ERB) Also, familiarity with at least one server-side MVC framework (e.g., Spring, Django, Rails, Express) Finally, a desire to build tools for other developers.

About You:

  • All front-end developer positions require a minimum of 2+ years’ experience
  • Publishing experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrable proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with Node.js and Express or similar server-side frameworks
  • Can troubleshoot complex issues independently and seek input from the team when stuck
  • A desire to build tools for developers
