Fixed Operations Manager Job Description

 

Reporting to a Area Manager, Fixed Operations Manager position is responsible for managing the delivery of DW services at an assigned fixed site location(s) for auction, dealer, or rental customers.  Primary duties include managing vehicle flow, technicians, customer relationships, supplies, and repair quality

 

Operations

 

      Implement and execute processes to maximize facility capacity.

      Keep team informed as to daily priorities and expectations.

      Ensure team has ample supplies and proper equipment to deliver timely and quality repairs.

      Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs meet/exceed standards. Distribute re-do list and follow up to ensure that appropriate repairs are completed.

      Ensure all technicians and other personnel have proper direction, ample workload, and working at peak efficiency.

      Manage all supplies and controlling waste while keeping sufficient stock.

      Ensure that DW facilities and/or work areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.

      Communicate with the DM as to any pertinent situation, possible opportunity and help create a plan for implementation if deemed a viable opportunity.

      Ensure compliance with company policies including all pertinent employment, safety, environmental laws and requirements to ensure a workplace that safeguards the rights and physical well-being of every employee.

 

People Management

 

      Create a positive, productive working environment consistent with Dent Wizards Core Values.

      Lead and mentor Technicians through daily interface, both formal and informal, and building relationships based on mutual respect and trust.

      Ensure team understands their roles and expectations.

      Proactively identify and resolve issues with employee performance. 

      Work with DM to ensure proper staffing levels are met to handle current and new business opportunities.

      Conduct informal and formal performance reviews to ensure employees are aware of their strengths and opportunities for improvement and develop plans to improve their performance.

      Coordinate new hire on-boarding to ensure smooth transition into the organization.

 

Customer Relations

 

      Build effective customer relationships to maximize revenue, expand services, and create a partnership.

      Proactively address quality, cycle time or other customer concerns.

      Provide regular reports/updates on workloads, cycle times, operational challenges, etc. to

      Promote DW’s reconditioning services, people and direction in a positive manner.

      If applicable, walk and estimate customer vehicles on a regular basis to find opportunities.

      Conduct weekly updates and monthly reviews with key customer contacts.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage, coach, and lead others.
  • Excellent time-management skills.
  • Paint, body shop, PDR or reconditioning skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and/or implement processes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Base Pay Range: $45,000 - $55,000.  The total compensation package may also include commission or bonus.
