A MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR has the ability to completely and effectively manage a given client’s day-to-day needs as well as the teams that support those needs. A MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR should be able to, with the help of an ACCOUNT DIRECTOR or BUSINESS DIRECTOR, identify strategies that will drive a client’s business growth and sell in programs that support those strategies.
The MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR should have strong and deep relationships with all but the most senior clients and the key stakeholders at partner agencies. A MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR should be able to, again with the help of an ACCOUNT DIRECTOR or BUSINESS DIRECTOR, build initial relationships with senior-level clients. The MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR will begin to be exposed to the financial side of the business and should be a strong partner to creative, strategy project/engagement management and technology staff.
Areas of Accountability
The MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR is accountable for:
- Client leadership:
Be the day-to-day resource for interactive leadership/vision for mid- to senior-level clients
Document, negotiate, and secure all contractual agreements and sign-offs with clients
- Team leadership:
Champion of team to client and partner agencies
Clear, regular communication regarding client and project goals, prioritization, and measures of success
Challenge agency team to deliver the most creative, results-oriented solutions at all times
Escalation point for Engagement Coordinator, Engagement Manager, Engagement Supervisor on client/account issues
Mentor, train and manage junior engagement management staff
- Partner Agency leadership
Develop and build solid relationships with account leads and key stakeholders at partner agencies, providing them with a reliable, trustworthy, strategic partner for interactive services
- Leadership and strategic vision
Support thought leadership for clients, team and partner agencies in interactive strategy/interactive category with the assistance of an ACCOUNT DIRECTOR or BUSINESS DIRECTOR or similar senior strategy staff.
Ensure that client has a documented interactive/digital marketing strategy and work with AD/BD on development if one doesn’t exist. Ensure that it is followed as well as regularly reviewed and updated for relevancy
- Business development
As assigned by DCS, MD or President, respond to RFPs and/or requests for participation in partner agency pitches
Lead the proposal process with support from AD/BD, including working with PM to secure resources, facilitation of brainstorming meetings, reviewing budgets and schedules, creating a financial plan, creating overall vision/strategy, ensuring timely delivery of quality final proposal

- Must have 6+ years in client service at an interactive advertising or marketing firm
