Senior Supervisor, New Business, DDB Chicago

This individual is expected to be experienced and capable of identifying and guiding winning strategic and tactical new business pursuits. This candidate will be able to use his/her current depth of knowledge of advertising and marketing, along with a swiftly-acquired knowledge of agency history, case studies, current business and strategic direction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Helping to define and develop new business strategies tailored to each office and agency
  • Following up on new business leads and identifying growth opportunities
  • Prioritizing opportunities
  • Defining new business processes, and managing in conjunction with EVP, Director of Business Development for the US
  • Contributing to capabilities presentations and other marketing materials
  • Coordinating and managing internal resources in order to develop successful client proposals
  • Leading new business activities and pitch presentations
  • Leveraging existing partnerships and developing new ones within the industry and holding company
  • Leading internal new business meetings and agency updates
  • Working with the agency management team to meet overall agency vision and objectives
  • Oversee and guide in-depth research of client prospects and market research
  • Monitor and report on competitive conditions
  • Oversee the flawless execution of all deliverables, presentations and proposals
  • Assist in the development of business development assets, including case studies and award submissions
  • Steward other activities that aide in our mission to attract new clients and elevate our presence within the industry


Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience business development experience
  • Track record of developing successful relationships
  • Strong communications skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Confidence to interact with senior level executive management around the world
  • Travel (US 20-30%)
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and tight timelines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strength of working collaboratively within large groups
