Position at CRISTA Camps

This is a Part Time position at Miracle Ranch Camp.
Compensation is between $16.28 - $17 per hour, depending on experience  

COMPANY OVERVIEW    

CRISTA Ministries (“CRISTA”) is a Christian church community that exists to exercise and express its Christian beliefs. CAMPS MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT  

MISSION: CRISTA Camps strives to provide memorable camp experiences where people encounter Christ and servant leaders are developed, so that lives and communities are transformed.   

  

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Miracle Ranch is a ministry of CRISTA located on the Kitsap Peninsula.

Our mission is to love God by serving people.  Our vision is to proclaim Christ while building servant leaders. We are looking for the right candidate who wants an exceptional career/ministry opportunity to help shape the future of Christian camping as a Program Assistant. This position will lead and assist in leading activities for guest groups, including but not limited to: archery, paintball, arts & crafts, and rodeos. Will accomplish all parts of each activity including setup, leading the activity, clean-up, and certain minor maintenance.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:  (Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Competencies; May not include all duties of this job) Job Duties  

  • Lead program activities for guests.
  • Prepare and setup activities.
  • Clean up and store materials.
  • Maintain equipment and materials as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, campers and parents.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:  (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)  

Christian Commitment:  
  

  • Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
  • Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc).
  • Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
  • Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
  • Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
  • Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:  One year working/volunteering with youth.
Other Considerations:  Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, campers and parents.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience)  

Education:  Some college.
Experience:  Work/volunteer in ministry setting.
Licensure/Certification:  American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certification.
Software and Equipment Used:  Basic knowledge of activities (paintball, archery, horsemanship, and/or arts and crafts).
