CAMPS MINISTRY MISSION STATEMENT
POSITION SUMMARY
The Server is responsible for working in the dining room serving guest groups that come to CRISTA Camps. This position will also work with the assistant cooks and maintain the kitchen area to include washing dishes, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trashes.
Our mission is to provide a Godly example in service to our guests while they are in the dining hall, sharing Crista’s vision of “Serving God by Loving People” to each person that encounters food service at Camps.
We strive to demonstrate outstanding Christian hospitality in meeting the physical needs of guests and staff and provide these services in a warm, positive, and productive working atmosphere, with maximum efficiency and hard work. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities)
DUTIES
- Set up dining room/buffets according to the number of people and situations expected.
- Serve guests in a pleasant manner, always ready to help where needed.
- Help Host serve snacks and beverages.
- Set up and make coffee in large or small coffee maker. Keep counters around coffee makers clean.
- Follow written procedures for cleaning the dining and dish room, kitchen and restrooms in order to maintain a clean working and serving environment.
- Use server and dishwasher check lists for duties each shift.
- Launder and care for staff shirts and aprons, so they are clean and ready when needed.
- Maintain good personal hygiene.
- Follow lock up procedures.
- Follow all Food Safety and COVID protocols
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
CHRIST CENTERED
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
- Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc).
- Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Food handler’s permit
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Able to work and communicate well with others.
- Able to multi-task well and have excellent organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year food service experience.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
First Aid and CPR certification.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Experience in the camps ministry.
