Position at Coastal Pacific Food Distributors

Position Summary:   

Responsible for the housekeeping of the warehouse to support the goals of an impeccably clean warehouse facility that is second to none. Hourly Range $30 to $34 per hour.  

Refrigeration Maintenance Duties:  

  • Maintain Frick compressors including adding oil, changing oil filters, cleaning strainers, and replacing separators, etc.
  • Perform PSM inspections and checklists of all components.
  • Work safely by utilizing proper Lockout tagout, hot work, confined space, and standard operating procedure policies.
  • Be able to perform emergency shut down and startup, restart failed equipment, and put systems back online.
  • Be able to utilize computer controlled operating systems.

Material Handling Equipment Maintenance: 

  • Repair stand up reach lifts, pallet jacks, sit down forklifts and order pickers.
  • Do preventive maintenance on all material handling equipment.
  • Change and replace tires.
  • Maintain records on repairs performed.

Building Maintenance:  

  • Perform repairs to dock doors, patch floors and walls, occasional painting, and other minor repairs.
  • Replace and repair damaged pallet storage racking systems.
  • Replace battery connectors, move plug and play lighting and perform minor electrical repairs.
  • Assist other mechanics in building maintenance as required.
  • Maintain records and coordinate activities with outside services.
  • Perform other maintenance tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:  

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience operating, servicing, and maintaining industrial material handling equipment.
  • General knowledge and experience with Industrial Refrigeration Systems
  • Good mechanical and electrical skillset.
  • Previous building maintenance experience.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed and work well in a team environment.
  • Able to work with little supervision and a self-starter.
  • High School diploma or GED.
