Job Summary

The Lease Operator I position will report to the appropriate area Production Foreman. The expectation is to perform basic pumping skills.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities       

  • Demonstrates compliance with company HSE policies and demonstrates safe and ethical behavior
  • Must complete all computer based trainings accurately and within specified time frame
  • Gauges and records production accurately, and maintains production to reach company goals
  • Able to operate basic equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Treater, Separator, Dump Valves, Ajax Engines, Pumping Units, ESPs, Back Pressure Regulators, Fresh Water Systems
  • Demonstrates knowledge of wells on route with the ability to walk through starting up a well and facility and ensuring all valves and equipment are set correctly
  • Able to correctly perform well test
  • Demonstrates well head knowledge, including but not limited to:
  • Ratigen, Murphy, SAM, Chemical Pumps, Vibration Switch
  • Must accurately report in EVIN, Seals, Run, and Water tickets
  • Check leases and maintain lease equipment
  • Identitfy pumping unit problems and communicate to senior team member
  • Maintain proper fluid and pressures on vessels
  • Change stuffing box rubbers and inspect and replace thief hatch gaskets as needed
  • Schedule tank sales in advance
  • Demonstrate ability to witness purchaser’s gauges, and tests to verify accuracy

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random alcohol and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a fit test

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
  • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance
  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
  • Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects
  • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities
  • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required
