Job Summary 

Responsible for securing markets and selling well head and downstream CLR equity crude oil at the highest possible price. Manager, Crude Oil Marketing with defined responsibilities and special project assignments that require a working knowledge of the E&P side of the Crude Oil Industry including well connects and the functionality of the different oil industry segments.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Negotiate the sales of CLR equity crude oil
  • Maintain acute awareness of oil market fundamentals and related pricing impacts for CLR production
  • Monitor CLR production volumes, pipeline receipts, truck deliveries, and inventory positions to ensure sales are fulfilled and provide corresponding daily reporting
  • Detailed awareness of CLR drilling, completion, and production schedules
  • Monitor status of pipeline well connections throughout CLR producing fields
  • Thorough understanding of transportation infrastructure in CLR operated areas
  • Utilize financial analysis based on economics from well head to various market locations so that sales are strategically placed
  • Identify and execute opportunistic marketing strategies when situations arise
  • Maintain and foster relationships with CLR trade partners, CLR personnel (corporate and field), and pipeline and truck carriers
  • Acquire knowledge of industry developments and market nuances through engagement with customers, counterparts, industry trade associations, seminars and news outlets
  • Provide 24/7 availability to assist with field related issues or constraints and act decisively to eliminate production disruptions
  • Periodic travel to industry meetings and events to represent CLR
  • Display working knowledge of laws regulating crude oil sales
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business or closely related field)
  • Three (3) – five (5) years in oil marketing (preferably in an exploration/production environment), oil sales, well connects, contract management, oil scheduling experience preferred
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test
