Job Summary

 Provides data entry, technical, and/or clerical support to Geologists and Geotechnical Services Manager


  • Provides support through acquisition, generation, and/or maintenance of all necessary data for Geologists or Geotechnical Services Manager to include geologic, geographic, production, well history, regulatory, survey and industry activity data.
  • Create, sort, maintain and filter data as needed within existing and/or anticipated corporate database structures, email systems and/or spreadsheets. 
  • Assist Geologists or Geotechnical Services Manager in preparing memos, bid requests, reports, well files and charts as required.
  • Perform general data entry, records/data/document scanning and/or filing, and provide additional support as required for company exhibits and/or presentations.
  • Operate all assigned departmental software as required to provide department and/or company personnel with data and/or well files required for regulatory hearings and/or compliance.
  • Ensure all data within assigned departmental software is updated and maintained as needed to support existing workflows.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong computer aptitude with experience in MS Access, SQL/SQL
  • Proven team player


  • High School Diploma, general education degree (GED)
  • Associates Degree, Vocational Technical Certificate or equivalent in a technical/business field preferred. 
  • General knowledge of database structures/languages, such as MS Access, SQL/SQL server preferred
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred
  • Ability to pass pre-employment
