Job Summary

The Environmental Intern will work under the direction and training of an Environmental Professional to develop solutions for project assignments associated with Continental’s energy assets. The Intern will learn the functions within the Environmental Department and perform entry level Environmental duties. 

Duties/Responsibilities

In addition to a summer project, the Environmental intern will also have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct field activities such as inspections, sampling, remediation and information gathering
  • Assist Environmental staff with program development, permitting and reporting, and other office tasks
  • Review compliance history of permitted operations and enter data and information to support required routine reporting
  • Conduct research of regulatory requirements as well as past and current permitting requirements and help develop strategy for future permitting needs.

Qualifications
  • Current enrollment in 4 year college or university;
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science;
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA for consideration;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; and
  • Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation
