Job Summary

The Injection Foreman position is responsible for the effective and economical installation, operation and maintenance of injection facilities (water, air and CO2), water supply and disposal, and oil selling. This position will report to the Production Superintendent or Area Supervisor and will have a working knowledge of production operations.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Maintain a zero OSHA incident rate for employees and contractors
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, including employee hiring, evaluations, goals, job descriptions, scheduling, training
  • Directs activities related to pumps (triplexes, quintaplexes, H pumps), compressors (reciprocating, centrifugal), dehys, prime movers and drives (VFD’s, soft starts, ATL), controls, piping, valve systems, costing, process improvements, overhauls, alarms, and callouts
  • Monitor system pressures on injection wells, gas and oil sales, shipping lines, and salt water disposal and transfer lines
  • Supervise construction of injection facilities, pipelines, valves, meters, etc.
  • Responsible in actively achieving optimal performance of equipment
  • Monitors alarms and injection
  • Manage lease operator schedules and routes
  • Codes and approves Oildex invoices (Open Invoice) in a timely manner
  • Review air, CO2, and water injection and water disposal in Evin and Carte daily
  • Enter daily Siteview reports
  • Maintains good working relationships with landowners and members of the community to prevent or resolve issues that may arise with operations


  • Demonstrates good communication and ability to develop relationships with employees (including CLR’s production, I&E, SCADA, safety, environmental, purchasing, engineering, HR groups), contractors, vendors, the public, landowners, and gas gathering companies
  • Highly motivated and able to multi-task, plan and make decisions effectively
  • Takes pride in personal appearance and the appearance of their location, equipment and vehicles
  • Familiar with federal and state requirements related to injection (MIT’s)
  • Demonstrates conflict management skills
    • Willingness to assist or ask for assistance as needed with manager and team member duties
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Can be trained in Workday, Open Invoice, Evin, Carte, Cygnet, Siteview

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED
  • 10 years of knowledge/ experience in outdoor, upstream field operations
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random alcohol and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a FIT test

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
  • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions
  • Ability to one arm carry up to 10lbs. without assistance
  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges
  • Must be able to exert up to 20lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects
