Analyst, IT Field Support

Job Summary

Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. This position is required to perform all Service Desk and Desktop functions. Additionally position will support various teams in IT including network and server operations. Position will require work in the office as well as field support. Work schedule may have varying hours including some evening and weekends. Weekly travel.


  • Respond directly to support issues and service request for field personnel.
  • Interface with other team members to provide additional information to assist in the resolution of incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ability to address client request effectively and quickly.
  • Ensures that all support requests are accurately and descriptively logged into the Help Desk tracking software.
  • Carry out hardware installations including workstations, laptops, printers, routers, and switches.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining service status updates.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership to teammates and end user’s, represents oneself as a positive stakeholder in all situations.
  • Provides desktop, router and switching infrastructure support as needed.
  • Assist in identifying trends in continuing hardware, software or system problems.
  • Train users on software and hardware on-site or in classroom.
  • Works with carriers, service providers and vendors to correct faults.
  • Calls software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
  • Stays current with technology by obtaining training on current hardware and software. Obtaining certificates when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Second level Help Desk support experience preferred.
  • Requires considerable hardware and software knowledge including MS Office Suite
  • Window’s 7, Adobe, and oil and gas software preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of current hardware and software.
  • Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage day to day operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office
  • Proven team player


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or a minimum of 5 years comparable experience. Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment; background and drug test
  • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
