Marketing Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary     

Provide midstream economic evaluations to support oil and gas marketing as well as asset teams. Establish a standard midstream economic model to assist marketing representatives with contract negotiations. Maintain a current corporate price deck and differentials model. Understand marketing contract terms and their financial impact on a midstream model. Understand production flow from the wellhead through a processing plant and expected outputs.

 Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for gas gathering, processing, NGL and oil transportation valuations.
  • Works closely with other departments and cross functional teams to develop and improve midstream economic models.
  • Models residue gas available for sale by taking the Treasury forecast and applying the appropriate BTU and shrinkage factors by area.
  • Responsible for creating regional production models by working with other entities of the company.
  • Maintains the corporate price deck and differentials.
  • Assists with technical analysis on Measurement projects.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations based on different models.
  • Assists with internal training opportunites for other departments regarding midstream economics.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills – Excel and Access
  • Experience with Crystal Ball or Allegro is a plus
  • Proven team player

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited College or University
  • 5 Years of Reservoir Engineering experience is a plus
  • 2 Years of Financial Modeling preferred
