Job Summary

The Engineering Technician Intern will be provided an overview of industry, involved in day to day activities/responsibilities within Resource Development, and will be assigned a project that will be presented at the end of the summer. The intern will work under the supervision of an assigned Mentor while still working closely with a Supervisor, other Engineering Technicians, and Engineers.  


  • Provide technical support to engineers.
  • Accumulate and effectively organize engineering data from multiple sources for engineering analysis.
  • Create and maintain custom database and spreadsheets of technical data as required by Resource Development department.
  • Responsible for loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Works well independently or with a team to perform more complex data analyses.
  • Initiates and develops more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.
  • Monitors new technologies and draws upon expertise to make recommendations for further exploitation of existing technologies.
  • Provides intermediate-level discipline-specific training to new systems users.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Office - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Basic Proficiency in:
    • Python, R – programming language, SQL, other programming languages, Spotfire/Tableau, MS Access, ARCMAP or GIS
  • Proven team player


  • Current enrollment in a four (4) year College or University;
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related degree;
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA for consideration;
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Eligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation.
