Job Summary

Serves as a liaison with building managers, security, and subcontractors. Supervises maintenance of building systems and Facilities Engineers. Administers annual maintenance and utility budget.


  • Serve as liaison with building managers and subcontractors
  • Ensure all subcontractors have contracts in place as required
  • Meet with and obtain bids for work to be completed by subcontractors
  • Oversee and inspect work completed by subcontractors
  • Supervise maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, elevators, electrical, plumbing, and emergency support
  • Supervise facilities engineers
  • Provide leadership and feedback to facilities engineers to develop talent
  • Review of completed work orders and preventative maintenance tickets for quality control
  • Perform quarterly (at a minimum) checks of the entire facility with an eye toward excellence
  • Administer annual maintenance and utility budget
  • Timely approval of invoices
  • Provide insight and direction to prepare annual budget for maintenance and utilities and capital projects
  • Review of quarterly budget-to-actual numbers to ensure annual budget is maintained
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at a time

  • Proven team player


  • Associate degree or higher, and at least eight (8) years of directly related experience preferred
  • BOMA (Building Owner & Management Association)
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time
  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers
  • Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs without assistance
  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling
  • Must be able to exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects
