Mid-Level Network Engineer
Description
Concept Plus is seeking a Network Engineer. The ideal candidate should have a solid network engineering background, particularly in Cisco ISE, routing, and Cisco Firepower firewalls. This position is a combination of remote and on-site work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 support for network issues, including diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network problems.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco ASA and FTD),VPN, Cisco ISE).
- Experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF
- Work with Cisco ISE for network access control policies, profiling services, posture assessment and guest access services.
- Experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or development, including hands-on professional experience in public cloud infrastructure frameworks and solutions for large enterprise networks.
- Use SolarWinds and Nagios to monitor the performance of the network.
- Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Experience with cloud networking (OCI, GCP )
- Candidate should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with wireless (WLAN) and Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) is a plus
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform for over 2 years.
- Familiarity with network access control model (Cisco ISE preferred)
- Knowledge of Visio is required
- Knowledge of IPv6 is required
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Experience with packet capture tools such as Wireshark
Required Qualifications
- Active CCNP Certification and/or GCP/OCI Cloud certification
- 3+ years of experience as a hands-on Network Engineer building, implementing, and supporting network hardware
- 3+ years of experience in multiple cloud providers, including OCI and GCP
- US Citizen with ability to obtain a US government clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Unix/Linux knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of Infoblox is a plus
