Senior Database Administrator
Description
Concept Plus is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to provide networking, infrastructure, and database support services.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- MUST LIVE IN MOUNTAIN OR PACIFIC TIME ZONES
- Able to demonstrate working knowledge of Oracle databases version 19c and higher.
- Experience with Oracle multitenant architecture as well as other Oracle add-on components.
- Knowledge and experience in administering databases on other DBMS platforms (MS SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and other SQL based solutions).
- In-depth knowledge of various backup and recovery methods including but not limited to datapump, RMAN, cloning, etc.
- Experience in recovering databases due to disasters or corruption.
- Experience in creating both logical and physical backups and the knowledge to properly determine when to use either.
- Experience with Linux to allow proper navigation and minimal administration.
- Experience in writing Bash scripts to monitor various aspects of all databases.
- Experience in troubleshooting Oracle network issues surrounding OCI calls and listener problems.
- Easily demonstrates concepts such as need to know and least privilege when configuring database access controls.
- Experience with Oracle Advanced Security Option specifically on Transparent Data Encryption.
- In depth knowledge of PKCS certificates.
- Experience with configuring and implementing certificates in Oracle wallet.
- Experience with applying Oracle security patches and version upgrades to databases and underlying binaries.
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and support of Oracle ORDS and APEX components.
- Knowledge of APEX API administrator commands for use on production systems.
- Knowledge in administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure database
Preferred Experience:
- Excellent documentation skills to ensure database component configuration instructions and standard operating procedures are captured correctly.
- Thorough testing methodology for any database change or project.
