Collinear Networks is developing pioneering wireless data transmission solutions enabling the “always connected” era. We are seeking a Product Management Product Owner who is high energy, creative, resourceful and who is truly passionate about products that customers love. This is an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams that design, build and roll-out products. You will own the success for Collinear’s product ensuring the right balance between meeting customers needs, achieving company business objectives including product profitability and product development roadmap. Your deliveries will include customer satisfaction with the product, product profitability and product timeliness.

Role Overview

You will own and coordinate all aspects of the product management strategy by; working closely with Collinear’s Strategy team on the big picture, conducting product specific customer and market research, preparing product strategies including pricing; working with product managers to generate product requirements and specifications, identify product roadmaps; working with product development to ensure that the product requirements are met, guide production timetables, make trade-off decisions, prepare plans for product introduction; work with Product Marketing to ensure they can effectively deliver the Sales enablement capability.



  • Create and own the product strategy including scope, features, markets, market sizing, differentiators, customers, pricing, etc.
  • Align the product strategy with Collinear’s overall vision and strategy developed by the strategy team
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap along with Collinear’s Product Management team to ensure the right mapping between roadmap features and product releases
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer requirements and experience by specifying the research needed to obtain market information, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, seeking validation of product requirements and product development.
  • Work with Product Marketing to plan and implement product launches and to ensure they can effectively deliver the Sales enablement capability
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services
  • Determine product packaging and pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Recommend the nature and scope of Collinear future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
  • Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Analyse product requirements against product development programs, preparing return-on-investment analyses, establishing time schedules with product development and manufacturing.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding, create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key partners
  • Scope and prioritize product development activities based on business and customer impact, assist to make trade-off decisions
  • Evaluate marketing plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Maintain product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • More than 10 years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or Business Development
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Successful experience building a product strategy, effectively communicate recommendations to executive management and meeting business objectives
  • Preferred background working on wireless communications technologies with telecom service providers globally
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, collaboration skills and attention to detail
  • Thrives in and enjoys a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
  • Successful experience hiring and on-boarding product managers
  • Proven experience in preparing product pricing
  • Proven understanding of competitive analysis
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
