Position Overview

As a QA Analyst at CMG, you will play a crucial role in the development of our proprietary software

platform designed to streamline the home buying & mortgage processes for retail customers. Your

expertise in quality assurance will help our team build scalable and maintainable applications. You

will work closely with developers and product owners to identify happy paths, edge cases, potential

security issues, and will be instrumental in the creation of test strategies & plans with the shared

goal of delivering software of the highest quality. Your contributions will directly enhance the user

experience of our customers, ensuring their journey is as smooth as possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Review requirements and develop test plans, test cases, and/or test scripts for multiple

projects

• Document test execution and coverage
• Record defects with clarity and thoroughness
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Validate story functionality as described by acceptance criteria and supporting

documentation

• Execute thorough testing with attention given to the user experience and ensure timely

delivery of test results pre- and post-deployment to a production environment

• Communicate with team members and managers to understand functionality and risk,

explain test strategy, share status updates, and/or potentially resolve task ambiguity

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;

additional work experience considered in lieu-of

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA role
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work closely with others to determine acceptable test strategies and solutions
• Working knowledge of modern browsers and web-apps, e.g., HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience validating API functionality using tools like Postman, Swagger, cURL, or similar
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and writing simple, ad-hoc T-SQL queries
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process while leveraging Azure

DevOps, Jira, or similar

• Additional consideration given for familiarity and experience using test-automation

platforms, e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, Cypress, LambaTest, or similar

Compensation Information – This is a remote role that can be performed from within the United States. CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $90,000 to $110,000. Factors that affect salary may include: experience, overall knowledge of mortgage, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
