• Uphold The Cliffs Core Values, Principles, and Beliefs
• Build relationships as a golf shop ambassador by greeting members and guests in all locations including the Bag Drop, Golf Shop, Practice Area and Golf Course
• Enhance the golf experience with professional presence in golf shop and on the golf course to monitor play and daily golf activities
• Assist the Head Golf Professional with men’s, women’s, and couples’ groups, events and programs
• Assist in tournament operations and weekly events including planning, event billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up
• Administer the club’s USGA Handicap System in cooperation with the Handicap Committee and GolfHits
• Assist and support the Outside Lead in organization of the cart barn, club storage, ordering supplies, practice facility maintenance and setup, cart maintenance and staging, servicing cart fleet, handling member and guest arrivals/departures, training, and staff development
• Assist the Head Professional and Retail Buyer in selection of product, merchandising, visual display, inventory control, receiving and transferring of merchandise, processing special orders, and pricing strategy.
• Assist members with merchandise or equipment needs including the use of Launch Monitor Technology for proper club fitting.
• Conduct group clinics
• Play golf with a variety of members and guests in competitive and non-competitive situations
• Undertake any special projects as assigned by the Head Professional
• Minimum completion of Level 2 of the PGA Professional Golf Management Apprentice Program
• Minimum of 1 year of Assistant Golf Professional experience
• Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, POS and inventory control systems, tournament programs, and Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent communication/relational skills, an outgoing personality, professional appearance, and passion and enthusiasm for the business
• Strong understanding of the USGA Rules of Golf and the USGA Handicap System
• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays

• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, climb stairs, reach overhead, and lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow, etc.)
• Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight
