Job Description
• Develop different types of sauces for shelf-stable ready meals from concepts and follow standardized commercialization set-up procedures
• Execute projects according to business plan timelines
• Improve current products with regards to both cost and quality
• Source new ingredients during the product development process and build vendor relationships
• Prepare benchtop prototypes and analyze using a variety of methods available in the R&D test kitchen
• Monitor current market trends via trade journals and competitor's market trips to predict future focus
• Prepare product specifications, set-up formulas and write technical reports and test run plans
• Perform consumer sensory testing and shelf-life studies for pre-launch products
• Conduct plant trials at various production facilities
• Other duties as assigned 

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience OR
• Associate Degree with 4 years of direct experience OR
• High school diploma / GED & 8 years of directly related experience 

Preferred Qualifications
• R&D experience in the food industry and culinary background, especially in sauce development strongly preferred
• Excellent computer skills that include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Driving a rental automobile as needed; walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time; ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on an occasional basis; exposure to manufacturing environments that may include loud noise, heat, cold, wet and slippery condition
