The Marketing and Event Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing project plans for various marketing and event activities. This person coordinates events, meetings and shows by identifying, assembling, and organizing requirements; establishing contacts; and developing schedules and assignments to ensure event success.   This encompasses all marketing requests from onboarding into all automated marketing systems and programs, organizing large-scale conferences and events, ensuring all marketing materials including print, electronic, web, social, collateral, events, branding, and email marketing projects are completed in an effective manner. The ideal candidate will have a basic marketing knowledge and a keen interest and curiosity about developing effective online and offline marketing programs.

What you'll do:
  • Managing “on-demand” marketing requests as needed with fast turnaround time
  • Coordinating marketing calendar to keep track of due dates for ad designs, recurring internal procedures, etc.
  • Manage corporate memberships, ensure we are maximizing costs and benefits
  • Coordinate, schedule, and organize all necessary conference attendance such as sponsorships/ exhibits/ people/ promotional items/ travel logistics (flights, hotels, etc.)
  • Collect and report all expenses related to these products
  • Schedule and host meetings
  • Ensuring all requests are recorded in the internal tracking system with the appropriate individual/branch noted
  • Ensuring consistent and accurate branding implementation for CIVIC and its subsidiaries
  • Conduct competitor marketing/ branding research
  • Setting up and maintaining sales team’s individual accounts in internal marketing systems
  • Social media management; creating engaging posts to increase interaction and exposure of corporate pages and assisting sales team in setting up their own social media pages to be used to promote their business
  • Creating/editing presentations in PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.
  • Assist with new loan officer set-up and training
  • Internet research to assist with various marketing campaigns
  • Administrative tasks to support the sales and marketing team
  • Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business, economics, finance or related field
  • 2+ years sales, marketing or administrative experience, including internships
  • Knowledge of the mortgage/finance/real estate industry is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be professional and personable with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with business social media marketing strategy and platforms
  • Internet researching ability
  • Ability to work fast under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be flexible and adaptable; and able to work in a changing environment
  • Must have common sense and problem solving skills
  • Use of online email marketing tools such as Constant Contact or Benchmark a plus
  • Ability to deliver friendly, timely and reliable customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work on multiple marketing projects simultaneously, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Basic web development/design and graphics skills a plus
