The Marketing Intern provides marketing, communications and branding support. This includes working on marketing projects, completing marketing requests, onboarding new sales team members into marketing systems and programs, and creating and writing content and other marketing materials.

This is a fun, hands-on role, working with a fast-paced and inviting marketing team, encompassing all aspects of marketing and communications. The ideal candidate will have a basic marketing knowledge and a keen interest in developing effective online and offline marketing programs, and desire to learn how to develop, implement and measure them.

What you'll do:
  • Assist with “on-demand” marketing requests as needed
  • Coordinating marketing calendar to keep track of due dates for social posts, blogs, email campaigns, project deadlines and recurring internal procedures, etc.
  • Ensuring consistent and accurate branding implementation
  • Setting up and maintaining sales team’s individual accounts in internal marketing systems
  • Social media marketing; creating engaging posts to increase engagement on corporate profiles and assist sales team in setting up social profiles, create and publish content
  • Assist with coordinating events
  • Creating marketing materials and write/edit content
  • Creating/editing presentations in PowerPoint
  • Placing print orders for business cards, flyers and other marketing material
  • Maintain marketing systems and reports
  • Internet research to assist with various marketing campaigns
  • Administrative tasks to support the sales and marketing team
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
  • 2nd year Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, journalism or related field; Or Master’s Degree candidate seeking hands-on, real-world experience.
  • 1+ year of prior work experience, preferably in a corporate office setting.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage/finance/real estate industry is a plus but not required.
  • Must be professional and personable with great interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiar with social media marketing and platforms
  • Proven Internet research experience
  • Ability to work fast under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Must be flexible and adaptable; and able to work in a changing environment
  • Must have common sense and problem solving skills
  • Ability to deliver friendly, timely and reliable customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work on multiple marketing projects simultaneously, with attention to detail
