Founded in 2014 by it’s parent companies Wedgewood Inc. and HMC Assets LLC, CIVIC Financial Services is a well-capitalized lending-arm of the Wedgewood Companies.  CIVIC is a fast growing lender and plays a critical role in the vertically integrated real estate company located in North Redondo Beach.  Wedgewood is a buyer of distressed residential real estate and has completed more than 25,000 fix and flip transactions since its inception.  CIVIC was started to provide synergistic opportunities within the company and to fund business purpose and residential investment loans for real estate buyers and investors. 

The Post-Closing Specialist is responsible for managing warehouse funding’s with investors, satisfying all custodian exceptions, satisfying investor diligence questions, and help facilitate loan trades and securitizations with Capital Markets.

What you'll do:
  • Help facilitate funding’s with the warehouse bank and updates Encompass with accurate data for reporting
  • Generate daily reports and track outstanding collateral to satisfy SLA with investors
  • Upload loan packages to third parties’ vendors for diligence review
  • Reviews and satisfy all outstanding conditions on diligence report prior to funding with investors, research, seek and obtain support from other business units to reconcile conditions
  • Collaborate with internal departments on correcting any outstanding issues
  • Collaborate closely with Capital Markets on Investor Trades by uploading imaged files to investor sites.
  • Obtain all corrected document conditions within SLA timeframe from underwriters, processors, closers and closing agents to satisfy loan trades and securitizations requirements
  • Proactively and knowledgably communicate to internal departments and closing agents on outstanding post-closing conditions or issues
  • Notify Post Closing Manager of errors and issues, coordinate corrections or documentation errors in order to verify salability of loans
What you'll need:
  • 2+ years if post-closing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
