Human Resources Coordinator (temp-to-perm)

The Human Resources Coordinator will report into the Human Resources Manager, and will be supporting daily functions within Human Resources. Such functions include Recruitment, Payroll and Benefits Administration.  

Note: This is a Temp-to-Perm position that is perfect for a recent college grad who majored in Human Resources or someone with little HR experience who is eager to learn and grow within the field!

Location: New York City (no relocation assistance available)

Main Responsibilities: 
  • Representing Human Resources internally and externally with a level of excellence as far as quality, information, and service 
  • Assisting employees with Payroll and Benefits-related inquiries 
  • Processing claims as needed
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed for audits, internal projects, etc. 
  • Maintaining HRIS and physical employee files
  • Assisting in onboarding of new hires and offboarding exiting employees 
  • Assisting in recruitment efforts by sourcing and screening initial candidates for various open roles across the company
  • Maintaining Applicant Tracking System and keeping it current
  • Managing complex interview rounds for active candidates and coordinating/scheduling accordingly 
  • Working with external recruitment agencies to manage candidate flow
  • Assisting with special projects as needed 
  • BA/BS in Human Resources -or- a BA/BS in any major + 1 or more years of HR experience 
  • Computer savvy! 
  • Strong Excel skills (formatting, filtering, pivot tables, formulas)  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized and super detail-oriented
  • Ability to stay focused, efficient, and effective in managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
