QA Lead

Job responsibilities include:

  • Work to grow and execute our suite of manual test cases across our website and native app; partner with engineering to identify tests that should be automated based off areas where we see regressions, or where cost of manual testing is high
  • Monitor new issues being reported on the website and app. Vet reported bugs and enter into bug tracking system
  • Coordinate QA effort of features/bug fixes across multiple horizontal development teams
  • Coordinate release of new features with Product Management and Engineering
  • Keep bug fixes and features on schedule for release by following up on the status of stories in tracking software with product and engineering as the deliverable moves through the development cycle
  • Provide defect reporting using agile defect tracking/workflow tools
  • Coordinate test effort across Product and QA resources


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience testing web based applications across multiple browsers and devices (mobile)
  • Strong analyst background
  • Manual Testing
  • Experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience authoring test cases and test procedures from prototypes, technical specifications, requirements documents, and use cases
  • Familiar with source control tools like Git, SVN, or CVS
  • Basic Unix skills
  • Proficient in tools like Microsoft Excel


  • Experience with Heroku
  • Experience with Amazon RDS
  • Knowledge of programming languages and web technologies such as Ruby, Javascript, Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, React.js
  • Experience writing software
  • Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Splunk, etc.
  • Experience with Selenium, Capybara, RSpec
