Risk Assessment & Mitigation SME III - TS clearance
Description
Chevo Consulting LLC is currently seeking a Risk Assessment and Mitigation Subject Matter Expert (SME) III with a TS clearance. This candidate will be a key client point of contact with responsibility for all associated tasks for the contract of oversight. This individual will have significant industry knowledge gained at the regional or national level in risk identification, analysis/assessment, and mitigation in Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience. The candidate will apply Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts and industry best-practices in developing a framework with defensible, repeatable criteria, metrics, parameters, and thresholds to determine appropriateness of including identified risks. This position is located in the Washington, DC, Metro area in a hybrid office-telework scenario. This position is contingent upon contract award
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for applying Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) concepts and frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO) to address operational risk in the public and/or private sectors
- Developing, maturing, and implementing Risk Registers and building Risk Register governance in the public and/or private sectors Provide technical engineering expertise with innovative problem-solving
- Communicating and documenting methodologies used to prioritize risk
- Working cross-sector in Critical Infrastructure and in an interagency environment where coordination was critical to success
Minimum Requirements:
- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Advanced degree(s) in engineering sciences disciplines
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in an engineering field (e.g., systems, nuclear, biochemical, civil, or chemical), operations research, and/or advanced computing (to include but not limited to AI, Cybersecurity, or IT
- Demonstrated experience and significant knowledge of Critical Infrastructure systems, operations, dependencies, and interdependencies in one or more of the 16 Critical Infrastructure sectors as outlined in National Security Memorandum 22 (e.g. Food and Agricultural Sector, Critical Manufacturing Sector, Healthcare, Public Health Sector) or Supply Chain expertise:

- Previous experience supporting CISA and/or DHS
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $215,000
