Federal Project Manager
Description
Chevo is hiring a Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide project management and contract support to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The ideal candidate will have previous Project Management experience, preferably for DHS and or CISA engagements involving administrative, analytical, and technical support. The location is Arlington, VA. This position is hybrid, and contingent on contract award.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the consultant team’s effort in supporting client involving administrative, analytical, knowledge management technical support, and executive secretariat support
- Be responsible for all Contractor work performed under the contract
- Be a single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR
- Be available to meet with the project team upon request to present deliverables, discuss progress, exchange information, and resolve emergent technical problems and issues
- Ensure Contractor employees understand and abide by Department of Homeland Security established rules, regulations and policies concerning safety and security
- Assist in developing and updating project management policies, process, and workflows
- Develop best practices to assist in guiding and supporting client through development, production, deployment, operations, support, and disposal of projects/programs
- Assist in drafting, monitoring, and updating project management plans
- Assist in developing and delivering project specific communication
- Assist in monitoring and controlling project specific work
- Assist in developing performance measurement across the client workstreams
- Assist in designing and monitoring compliance with quality assurance and internal control procedures
- Assist in developing a risk management plan
- Responsible for all Contractor work performed in addition to excellent overall business and organizational skills with demonstrated success in achieving financial goals, managing multiple functions, managing relationships with clients, and providing quality service based on client requirements.
- Direct day-to-day management of contract support operations, involving multiple tasks and groups of personnel at multiple locations, or on a single project; demonstrate skills in the scope of work; provide technical guidance to the project team in performance of the work and reviews the quality of all work products; and organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of all contract support activities.
- Responsible for staffing, project planning, project financials, and staff direction and oversight.
- Sall be a single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR.
- responsible for the Contractor’s performance during the execution of the events workshops, briefings, and meetings, to include logistics before, during, and after the events.
Required Skills
- Able to obtain DHS/CISA Public Trust Entry on Duty (EOD)
- Reside in National Capital Region (Hybrid work environment)
- Requires College Degree and 10+ years previous experience in leading a team
- Experience with Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Programs, Trainings, and Outreach
- Experience with Infrastructure Protection/Infrastructure Security
- Experience with performing or managing those who perform duties categorized as administration services
- Experience working within an Executive Secretariat Team
- Experience serving in a Supervisory Management capacity
- Previous experience liaising between contract staff and government client staff
- Previous experience in completing deliverables to be submitted to the contracting officer’s representative
Desired Skills
- MA/MS degree
- Previous experience managing projects within CISA and/or DHS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
SALARY RANGE: $120K-$170K
