Description

Chevo is hiring a Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will provide contract support to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The ideal candidate will have previous Project Management experience, preferably for DHS and or CISA engagements involving strategy and policy development and implementation.  The location is Arlington, VA (combination in person and telework).  
Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Lead the consultant team’s effort in supporting client in developing and implementing agency level strategy and policy, business process improvement, and executive secretariat support
  • Be responsible for all Contractor work performed under the contract
  • Be a single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and the COR
  • Be available to meet with the project team upon request to present deliverables, discuss progress, exchange information and resolve emergent technical problems and issues
  • Ensure Contractor employees understand and abide by Department of Homeland Security established rules, regulations and policies concerning safety and security
  • Assist in developing and updating project management policies, process, and workflows
  • Develop best practices to assist in guiding and supporting client through development, production, deployment, operations, support, and disposal of projects/programs
  • Assist in drafting, monitoring and updating project management plans
  • Assist in developing and delivering project specific communication
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling project specific work
  • Assist in developing performance measurement across the client workstreams
  • Assist in designing and monitoring compliance with quality assurance and internal control procedures
  • Assist in developing a risk management plan.
  • Assist in developing new Business Process Improvements (BPI)
Required Skills  
  • Master's degree in political science, Public Policy or another related domain.
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or other similar project management certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with federal program and policy management services, policy and strategy analysis, knowledge management, and correspondence and task management
  • Previous project support to multiple senior-leadership decision-making councils and working groups at CISA, DHS, and White House level and/or other federal agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and control contract costs and deliver detailed financial reports to the COR. 
Desired Skills  
  • Previous experience managing projects at DHS/CISA specifically in strategy and policy development and implementation
  • Experience overseeing projects involving one or more of the following: Budget/Financial Management, Asset Management, Human Resource Management
