The Receptionist role provides essential administrative support for our dispensary and clinical departments located at the Fulfillment Centre. This will include a gained knowledge in medical terminology, medications, the Alberta Government Clinical Framework, as well as help to develop telephone communication skills to contact clients and/or their healthcare representatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to appropriate person
  • General administrative support upon request – excel reports, data entry, mailing & filling
  • Mailing and distribution
  • Fax/scanning requests
  • Assists in planning and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference calls.
  • Record meeting minutes for stand up meetings, as well as any meetings requested by management
  • Responsible for inventory of stationary and lunchroom supplies (coffee, vending machine, etc.)
  • Assists/supports Delivery & Maintenance Supervisor with repair and maintenance requests.
  • Adjudicate completed clinical services using pharmacy software (Kroll)
  • Scanning and attaching clinical documentation using standardized labels to patient’s files in pharmacy software (Kroll) for easy access by all pharmacy employees.
  • Prepare a variety of documents using both pharmacy software (Kroll) and Netcare for Clinical Pharmacists in a timely manner, and ensure that they are delivered in the most appropriate way once completed.
  • Work with the other departments & clinical pharmacists to ensure that patient demographics located in pharmacy software (Kroll) are continually updated.

**Other duties will be assigned as required

Education and Experience:

  • Experience and/or training on medications and medical terminology
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience using basic office technology – Photocopier / scanner / fax machine
  • Experience with Netcare is an advantage
  • Experience in a pharmacy environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of Kroll Pharmacy Systems is an asset
  • 2 years of experience in an Administrative support function is preferred
  • Experience handling confidential information and payments is a must.
  • Experience in a pharmacy environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy Systems is an asset
