Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading Utility-scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and HV/MV Substation/Transmission estimates, including self-perform and subcontracted scopes of work. This candidate will work closely with the Preconstruction Team, Project Managers, Purchasing, and Engineering. In addition to working cross-functionally with internal teams, you will also develop and maintain relationships with material vendors and subcontractors/partners.
You'll be responsible for the management of subcontractors: developing and maintaining relationships, managing the subcontractor database, prepare vendor Requests for Quotes and evaluate vendor pricing.

You will perform all levels and types of estimating, planning, scheduling, and cost engineering for project activities. You’ll be tasked with accurately performing material take-offs for renewable energy, and HV/MV utility projects. Scope also includes reviewing and implementing lessons learned to ensure accurate estimating data, research new products and installation techniques, develop cost roadmaps to ensure competitive pricing, and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
This role will report to the Assistant Chief Estimator, Renewable Division.
ABOUT YOU
You bring ten years of estimating experience in solar PV, battery energy storage, substations, and procurement of materials and service.

Your experience encompasses the following:
- Knowledge of power delivery, including substations and transmission lines
- Knowledge of all engineering scopes, including electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and permitting compliance
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics with respect to cost estimating
- Experience with Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) estimates
- Experience with MS Office
- Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software
- Experience with Livecount or similar on screen take-off software
- Existing relationships with Tier 1 vendors
- Understanding of power delivery, including substations and transmission lines
- Understanding of all engineering scopes, including electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and permitting and permitting compliance
- Understanding of shipping and logistics with respect to cost estimating

You’ll quickly be assimilated into a collaborative environment with colleagues who have diverse expertise and backgrounds. While you may direct and manage the Estimating team in estimate completions, you have the opportunity to provide training and leadership development Junior Estimators.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: None required.
Experience: Ten (10) years of estimating experience in solar PV, battery energy storage, substations and procurement of materials and services.
