Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. THE FLEET MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Fleet Management team oversees all fleet performance and fleet maintenance to increase productivity, ensure compliance with government regulations, and to help operations run smoothly and efficiently. This team is essential to a smooth operating fleet of vehicles, no matter the size.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Vehicle Administrator to join our team. This role is headquartered in San Jose, California and will assist with managing hundreds of vehicles in multiple states. Compliance and data entry is at the core of this position. We are looking for an entrepreneurial person to work with our team and grow this exciting part of our business.
- All vehicle registrations, license plates and related DMV transactions.
- Ensures all vehicle recalls and smog’s notifications are dispersed in a timely manner.
- Credit Card reconciliation.
- Entering accurate vehicle data into associated systems.
- Assists in issuing fuel cards for company vehicles.
- Performing fleet data audits and updating JD Edwards and associated systems.
- Additional fleet related tasks and support as needed by the team.
Knowledge: Developing professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Job Complexity: Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
Supervision: Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong understanding of Equipment DOT compliance regulations.
- Experience working with the DMV for in-depth vehicle registrations including apportioned plate registration.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Well organized Individual with good administrative skills. A strong background and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, and JDE.
- Knowledge and experience in construction fleet operations. Experience with Samsara Telematics or similar Telematic platform.
- Highly motivated and driven.
- Ability to work alone and in a team setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education: High Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Management or other related field experience preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of fleet experience.
