What is Skullcandy, and What Does a Skullcandy Brand Ambassador Do?

A Brand Ambassador is a Customer Service Representative. Skullcandy is the original lifestyle and performance audio brand. With Skullcandy designing, marketing and distributing audio and gaming headphones, as well as other accessory-related products, the Brand Ambassador (Customer Service Representative) is responsible for assisting Skullcandy’s customers via phone and e-mail. The Brand Ambassador will help customers by answering questions about products, product availability, Skullcandy policies, Skullcandy events and promotions, and provide general customer service resolution on behalf of Skullcandy. The Brand Ambassador will use his/her passion and knowledge of Skullcandy’s brand and related experience to ensure an authentic experience that promotes loyalty to Skullcandy.

*** This is a Seasonal (Temp-to-Perm) Customer Service Representative position for the Holiday Season. The seasonal term is anticipated to end in mid-January

Other Duties and Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints
  • Meet Skullcandy sales, quality, and average handle time targets
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required to obtain new and pertinent information about Skullcandy and their products and services
  • Apply high-quality customer service guidelines while servicing customers
  • Apply Skullcandy and VIPdesk Connect policies as applicable whenever interacting with customers

 

Brand Ambassador Job Requirements:

  • Able to work at the computer and on the phone for each scheduled shift
  • Due to the home-based nature of this job, the Brand Ambassador is required to have a home-office environment, internet access, USB headset, router, modem, web camera, and computer system that meets VIPdesk Connect policies and maintenance requirements, including system upgrades as applicable, which may change over time
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six (6) or more months experience with consumer sales
  • Two (2) or more years related customer service experience
  • Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and employment reference security check
  • Must live in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Utah, or Virginia.

 

Brand Ambassador Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some college preferred
  • Passion for music, action sports and discussing gadgets
  • Experience with Skullcandy brand and products a plus
  • Knowledge of audio terminology and gaming a plus
  • Able to thrive in a performance-based environment and motivated by goals and incentives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to type at least 35 WPM with proper spelling and use of grammar
  • Able to learn and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with focus on quality and accuracy, ability to multitask, strong sense of urgency and commitment to excellence

System and Office Requirements to be provided by the Brand Ambassador**:

  • Home Office - Home office is in a separate room that is noise free and has a door with locks.
  • File cabinet or desk drawer with lock
  • Crosscut Shredder Machine
  • Internet Access – minimum 2.5 Mbps download and 1 Mbps upload without packet loss or delay – DSL, or Cable (dial-up, satellite, and wireless connections are NOT permitted).
  • Internet connection must be a wired connection to your computer (wireless not permitted).
  • Ability to receive and send faxes.
  • Sound card with speakers or USB speakers.
  • Anti-Virus Software, Anti-Spyware, & Firewall - Current and regularly updated required.
  • USB headset that meets VIPdesk Connect requirements.

  •  Compensation:
    • $10.00/hr

     Available Shifts:
    • Full Time:  Monday–Friday 9:00 am–9:00 pm ET
     
    Training:
    • Monday - Friday, 11:00 am -5:00 pm ET, 2 weeks
    • October 23 - November 3, 2017
    • 100% attendance is mandatory
    • Web Cameras will be used in the virtual classroom
